Kungahara Women’s Group is a dedicated sub-group of the Bwishaza Cooperative, founded in 2014 and now made up of 206 members. Together, they steward a shared plot of land, cultivating coffee collectively and delivering their harvest to the Bwishaza washing station for processing.
At the station, cherries are fully washed, fermented in tile lined tanks, and carefully dried on raised beds to ensure consistency and clarity.
The result is a bright, sweet cup with notes of apple, honey, and chocolate, clean, balanced, and expressive of both careful production and collective effort.
